Stephanotis - Houseplants

Stephanotis is a very popular plant due to its white, waxy and very fragrant flowers. Even non-flowering, the plant under the name "wax flower" or "Madagascar jasmine" looks good with its multitude of glossy leaves. It is a real pleasure to have it in the house, because the flowers last a long time. Size: about 35 cm Care conditions: Plant the flower in a sunny place, but in such a way that the light is filtered because the direct rays of the sun can destroy the leaves. Madagascar jasmine grows best in an environment with a temperature between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius. It is important that the temperature never drops below 8 degrees Celsius so that the plant can withstand. Stephanotis has two stages of flowering. The first starts in January and lasts until May, and the second starts in June and lasts until September-October. The jasmine flower reaches a diameter of 3 cm and changes its color from white to yellow. Stephanotis is watered regularly and moderately, without exaggerating the amount of water. Too much water leads to root rot and plant death. In the cold season, the plant is watered with less water because the growth is slow. To grow harmoniously, Stephanotis needs a stick or trellis to lie on. Place the plant in a place away from strong winds and direct sunlight. Periodically wipe the leaves off dust and spray them with softened water to keep them fresh. Stephanotis is a long-lived plant that can last up to 10 years if properly cared for. Planted in pots, Stephanotis grows up to 2.5 meters. Grown in the garden, Stephanotis can even reach a height of 6 meters. * The vessel in the picture is for presentation.
